New research project from May 2023
The Thyssen Foundation has approved our application for a research project on "Queer Reading - A Methodology. German Literature in the Age of Paragraph 175 (1872-1994)". Expected duration: May 2023 to April 2026 (two research assistantships).

Workshop "To be (dis)continued. New Perspectives on the Entanglements of Gender, Sexuality, and Jewishness" (2023)
Together with the research group "Gender/Queer and Jewish Studies" (Selma Stern Center for Jewish Studies Berlin-Brandenburg) we will co-host a workshop for early career researchers on the multifaceted entanglements of Gender, Sexualities, and Jewishness in June 20-23, 2023.

Digitization of the magazine „Der Eigene“: First volumes now online
The digitization project carried out together with Humboldt's university library is progressing! The first volumes of the "Blatts für männliche Kultur" (Newspaper for Male Culture) (1896-1932), the world's first magazine for homosexuals, are now online.
